As the National Agency for the EU programmes Erasmus+ Youth, Erasmus+ Sport and European Solidarity Corps, JUGEND für Europa contributes to the implementation of EU objectives in the areas of education, mobility, and participation in democratic life with high-quality services.

Our activities focus on promoting non-formal and informal education and cross-border learning mobility, supporting youth and engagement policy cooperation, and the further development of youth work. We also strengthen the European idea in German grassroots sport. Our target groups are all
young people as well as professionals and organisations from the fields of youth, engagement, and sport.

JUGEND für Europa is part of IJAB – International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany e. V., and is one of the largest National Agencies in Europe with more than 100 employees. In Germany, we manage the highest volume of funding in the field of international youth work.

We are looking for an

Educational Advisor (f/m/d)

in full-time or part-time (at least 50%) in the SALTO Training and Cooperation Resource Centre team, for the next possible start date and limited until 31.12.2027.

As Educational Advisor, you will contribute to strengthening the quality of youth work in Europe by developing and implementing educational measures connected to the European Training Strategy (ETS).

Your tasks include e.g.:

– Development, implementation and monitoring of training activities targeting youth workers and youth work trainers in Europe
– Organisational and content support to the development and implementation of cooperation activities with National Agencies, SALTO network, and other youth work organisations and stakeholders in Europe
– Development of online and offline educational publications and other support materials – especially with regard to the competence models for youth workers and for trainers that have been developed under the European Training Strategy
– Contribution to the managing and further developing of the SALTO T&C RC digital tools, most notably the ETS website and an internal cooperation platform of the National Agency network
– Administrative tasks related to the above (e.g. procurements, logistical organization)
– Contribution to the further development of the ETS

This makes us curious:

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. social studies) or comparable knowledge and experience
– Experience and knowledge in training development and management, project management and ideally with public procurements and website management
– Knowledge of the European Training Strategy
– Conceptual, analytical, organisational and intercultural competences
– Proactivity, flexibility, curiosity, and resilience
– MS Office and webtools
– English (C1) and basic knowledge of German
– Readiness to travel internationally on a regular basis (10% to 25%), occasionally also during weekends and public holidays
